Canton News:
A few canton offices are open and looking to be filled by excited members who want to help make the SCA experience a great one. Openings include Chronicler, Lists, Constable, Rapier and Archery Marshal. Many officers are also looking for deputies to train and possibly pass the job on to in a year or so. If you are intersted in becoming an officer or training to become one, please contact the Seneschal about openings or the existing officer you would want to train under. Every man counts!

Autocrats are being sought for the 2009 event schedule that covers Mountain Mayhem and the Readstan Anniversary Pas d'Arms. Make your willingness known by coming to a canton business meeting and tell us your event plan.

Help is being sought by the Autocrat of the Pas d'Arms 2008. We are recruiting early for volunteers for Heralding and Gate (short shift). Please contact the autocrat if you have the time and desire to assist.


Join us in classes and workshops bring brought to an event near you or at our regularly scheduled classes in Readstan. Instructors from all over the canton as well as some from the Barony of Caerthe and even out of Kingdom are being gathered to bring you the high quality instruction in a variety of fields from sewing to soap making, and armoring to SCA Law! Keep an eye on the Roadshow Calendar (coming in May 2008) for class locations and times.

The Roadshow staff is pleased to announce that in conjunction with our Hospitaler, we are starting a Newcomer track of courses. SCA Basics Series: Living the Modern Middle Ages I & II, War Camping 101, SCA Inc. 101. Garb series: Getting Garbed (Introduction to costuming), Garb Manufacture, Finishing Techniques (embellishment and construction techniques for long lasting garb), and Millinery (hatmaking).

Regularly Scheduled Meets in Readstan
Canton of Readstan Busness Meetings are held (typically) on the first Wednesday of the Month, 6:30 - 8:30 pm At the Englewood Library, First Floor of the Englewood Civic Center, 1000 Englewood Parkway, Englewood, CO 80110. This 2008 Canton meting dates are: February 6, March 5, April 2, May 7, June 4, July 2, August 13, September 3, October 1, November 5, December 3

Weekly Fighter Practice/Populace Gatherings are held every Sunday from 10:00 am - to 2:00 pm at Cornerstone Park, 5150 S. Windermere St., Littleton, CO. The Park is open and practices have resumed! Please LAO enjoy the Baronial practices on Thursday nights at the JeffCo Fairgrounds. Readstan Fighter practices and Populace Gatherings are cancelled most holidays. Directions!

Directions:
Take your best route to South Santa Fe Drive and West Belleview Avenue in Littleton. Proceed east from the intersection about 3/4 of a mile to S. Hickory Street. Turn right on S. Hickory St. and then right again on W. Prentice Ave. The parking lot will be on your right.
