Instructors assembled from all over the Known World are brought to you providing quality instruction in a variety of fields from soap making to armoring, SCA Law to War 101! If you are interested in attending a class, please RSVP so instructors know the quantity of instructional materials to provide. Most classes are free, but some may have a nominal materials fee. If you would like to offer a class to the Roadshow, you are most welcome! Please contact us to get it scheduled. SCA Basics Series:

  • Living the Modern Middle Ages I -
    Basic Orientation: Review of persona, names and devices. Getting involved in what you like. Discussion of what things a newcomer would want to have for attending SCA events. Finding and getting settled into the groups that support what you enjoy.

  • Living the Modern Middle Ages II -
    Discuss etiquette and customs, and what all the regalia means (Crowns, Coronets, Belts, Chains). Conduct a mock court so students get used to approaching the crown if called into court. Overcome stage fright and practice bowing and understanding "The Royal Presence".

  • War Camping 101 -
    Be Prepared for attending camping events in comfort, safety and style! Will discuss what you will need and want in your camp and how to make it or use it.

    How this SCA thing work? Covers officers - who can do/does what (authorization for Marshals, etc.). It will touch on Corpora and the founding documents to get students a working understanding of the organization, showing what makes the Society function.
